    Exceptional Dining and Cozy Stay

We had a fantastic two-night stay in the Executive Double Room, where everything was ultra clean and the comfy beds made for restful nights. The highlight was definitely the exquisite dining experience, which included a diverse range of homemade dishes that never failed to impress us at both breakfast and dinner. the staff’s personalized service truly made us feel welcomed and at home in this quaint setting. a slightly broader selection of seating options in the dining area would enhance comfort during busy meal times.

The Wheatsheaf's cozy lounge bar, with its snug armchairs and elegant decor, felt like a warm embrace after a chilly day exploring. The uplifting atmosphere was just what I needed to unwind with a wee dram.

More accessible seating options would improve comfort.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Wheatsheaf. The executive double room in the annexe felt really cozy, impeccably clean, and super comfy. The attention to detail, like the complimentary highland spring water on the hospitality tray, was such a nice touch. I enjoyed the food tremendously. it consisted of a fantastic variety of homemade dishes that I genuinely looked forward to for each meal. The staff here were incredibly friendly and attentive, always checking in to make sure everything was perfect. The location is great too, only a few miles from several interesting spots. One small downside was that the room temperature could be a bit chilly at times, which made it less comfortable during the night. I had a really enjoyable visit and would happily return in the future.

    cozy accommodation

    slight inconsistencies
    narrow stairs
    lack of accessibility

The cozy accommodation provided a wonderful night's sleep in a clean and spacious attic room that featured a lovely view. Friendly staff ensured a warm welcome, and the dining experience was impressive, especially the fish on Friday, which was outstanding. While the breakfast had slight inconsistencies in preparation, the quality of the ingredients, particularly the bacon and sausages, was exceptional.

Exceptional Stay with Tremendous Local Cuisine

A visit for my father-in-law's birthday turned into a delightful journey. The friendly staff and tasteful decor created a warm ambiance. We adored the homemade bread with locally sourced ingredients. For future guests, do try the exquisite vanilla ice cream that’s a must-have. Highly recommended!

    charming garden
    informal address

Had a lovely stay with a comfortable king size bed and a well-stocked room, making it perfect after a tiring day. The cozy sun terrace and charming garden were great spots to unwind. The only thing that could use a tweak is the casual reference to everyone as 'guys' during breakfast, which felt a bit off. 😊
